Works for my Zafira 2.0 CDTI, providing it is kept above 2500 RPM. That said, Since I started using Shell V-Power about 3 years ago and that made a MASSIVE difference to the regeneration frequency. Before that she was getting us to do a forced regen every 2-3 weeks, then after we started using V Power we maybe get one every 4-6 months. As soon as one would end another would start. My driving is about half highway and half local road.
